Rob Hanes Adventures Cover

I recently did a cover for ROB HANES ADVENTURES #12. Rob Hanes is a character created by my friend Randy Reynaldo. I first came across Rob Hanes and Randy at the Alternative Press Expo during the 90's ( when APE was still in San Jose ). Randy has been steadily self-publishing the Rob Hanes character for close to to 20 years. Randy does beautiful black and white work in the tradition of Milton Caniff, Noel Sickles, Roy Crane and Alex Toth. His storytelling and drawing skills are solid as a rock! If you
aren't familiar with his work, make it a point to pick up a copy ASAP!

Randy asked me to do a cover for issue #12. Here's the black and white art, but I like the color version better. You can see the color version at Randy's cool blog

Great- but- just curious, before you'd mentioned that you don't like to do your own colors... how come?

Roberto-Thanks! The digital "inks" still give me trouble at times, but it's getting much easier lately.
I think I could have spotted the blacks better on this, but the color version makes it work.

Dominic-Thanks for stopping by, Dominic!

crazy-I actually LIKE doing color, I just don't feel as
confident at it. The actual rendering of color is actually a lot of fun for me. Making good color choices is still something I need to work at.

Pagas-Thanks!
