Professional illustrator/storyboard artist/comic artist living in Los Angeles, CA. Always had an interest in drawing and film since childhood. Drew my own comics and made little animated super-8 films with my twin brother growing up in Sacramento, CA. Went to The Academy of Art/USF in San Francisco. Started working at George Lucas' visual effects company Industrial Light & Magic around 1988, right out of school. Stayed there for 13 years, doing art for feature films and commercials including Ghostbusters 2, The Mask, The Phantom Menace, Men In Black, The Mummy. Left the Bay area for greener pastures and headed for Los Angeles on that fateful day of 9-11, dragging my girlfriend with me. After becoming a freelancer, I worked on Terminator 3, Day After Tomorrow, Chronicles of Riddick, Bolden, Rush Hour 3, The Incredible Hulk. Side projects: Put together a self-published comics anthology in 2004 called "Babes In Space" Did an award winning short horror film called "The Collector" in 2000, that played at several film festivals.

Dude I'm one hundred percent with you on Air Bender. That flick won't even get rented by me. If they cast a bunch Cubans as stars of Lord of The Rings their would've been airplanes flying into New Line studios. I think the casting is ridiculous and head scratching.
If Chappelle was still on the air he would be having a field day with this one.
Yea I don't get that at all. There are tons of talented Asians who don't get the opportunity to play major roles normally, and this would have been a good opportunity for them.
Pretty lame indeed.
If anything they've reduced the potential success of the project by playing it 'safe'.
BROCASSO-This sets back race relations several decades. From Amos and Andy, to John Wayne playing Genghis Khan. It comes back to some executive's decision to not hire non-whites. I would encourage everyone to show their displeasure with this either by
boycotting or letter writing.
Yeah, I'm sure Chapelle would have a great time with this one!
想事情-Spam sucks
Jelter-There are so many people they could have discovered who could have filled these roles perfectly. It's an opportunity wasted. It's not like the kids they hired have long resumes, so the often used excuse of "there aren't many Asian kids with experience" doesn't wash.
Dominic Bugatto-You're so right. My hope is that this becomes fodder for ridicule across the world and the producers are shamed into never pulling this shit again.
